so, in the cold hard light of day, we eventually have to admit that
certain bits of old vinyl from our spent youth are now technically
worthless - confirmed by the fact that most charity shops around here
are no longer accepting them.
Is it OK to just put them in the bag with the plastic recycling ?

There is a comeback in vinyl listening, big enough that some good quality new
turntables are now being produced. Cassettes are coming back too, for some unknown reason.
