• Puppy love for this old 1973 chart?

Yes I know 'Puppy Love' is Donny Osmond not David Cassidy, but the
Osmonds are in this chart anyway so it sort of counts.
Anyway, it's a round 20 years before the 1993 chart I did last week and
it's happier times for some of the acts who weren't doing so well in
1974 - although Slade have spelt their song title correctly, so maybe
that was the beginning of the end.
Quite a few people are in here twice, and there's also a rerelease of a
song that was originally banned by the BBC.

Playlists are here. On Spotify, I have allowed my pedantry to overtake
my taste, so it's the long version of Bryan Ferry and the shorter edits
of the Isleys and Eddie Kendricks. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6E4UzBM7PoWpnim0uC6w4W?si=we1gsQoXRQGpN9d8J4aQBw

I don't think I've ever watched a whole episode of it, though of course
    I know the tune.
I seem to recall there was a remake a few years ago which I didn't watch either.

I'd guess so. It is ripe for parody.
