Radio 3, Friday Night's Music Night
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002y6cg

It includes Jazzer in his real name singing!! A strange mixed bag (though
I can see the Dolly Parton connection, one or two others escape me)

Listen at your peril. Aa strange coincidence being it's also our golden wedding anniversary.

I'm pretty sure they are on mains water these days - assuming the infrastructure is up to the job.

I always thought Friday Night is Music Night was a Radio 2 programme.

Does this mean FNiMN has gone upmarket or that Radio 3 has gone down?

Congratulations! I'm delighted for the pair of you!

Will you have FNiMN on as mood music for the party?

    Why can't it mean both?

Ordinarily POI and I would be at choir rehearsal this evening but our
concert was last weekend so there are no rehearsals until September so
we will have to find some other way to miss FNIMN.

It moved to Radio 3 some time ago - it doesn't sit comfortably within R3 at all, and I rarely listen, tough am an evening concert person if I like the programme

likewise. It was way better than I anticipated too. Ditto the Proms. For
a few years Robin Fairbairns met me so I could go to one,: when she was old enough to be out late enough, Hazel came with me. Those were the days when
we had a bus from near here to Victoria. Cheaper than by train pre
    disabled railcard which arrived later.
