Will the proposed caravan storage area be tarmacked over during August
    bank holiday weekend?

    :-)

Would require planning permission; if you even want to turn part of your
front lawn into somewhere to park you car it needs approval these days,
and that usually stipulates that it be something permeable. A large area
of tarmac would definitely be a no-no. (Reason being, drainage: any area
taken from the existing soakaway area is only allowed if it is mitigated
as much as possible. Floods, and all that.)

Don't play "stupid" with me... I'm better at it.

I would have thought caravan storage was only needed over winter
although to be honest I cannot see the point of it. As a farmer Brian
is interested in growing crops and only a year or two ago he would have
been entirely against such non-farming activity.

I was thinking of the cases in the press lately where a group of
travellers lays hard standing in a field over a bank holiday weekend
when the local council aren't working and then moves in. Often, it
seems, with land they've bought, but without planning consent. It may
    be an upcoming storyline.

With any luck they'll bury Biriani under it...
