No, you are quite correct. The plural of spouses is indeed spice. The
most recent late Mike and I often explained to other people how we had
    both lost two spice already.

(He and I were not married so my spouse total is still two spice.)

As a genealogist, I often come up against this conundrum!

Reading your account, I feel some reference to all-spice is called for,
but I can't think if it at the moment.

Yes, I was mistaken. Thanks for the correction. I missed out

    Pete.

Easy enough mistake to make given that Brian appears confused
    a) Adam is his son as he has a grandson to whom he is close
    b) Adam is not his son when Adam gets to work, just an employee who is
    no use at all.

Sorry but how does Brian believe he can do that?

    Incipient schizophrenia.
I believe there is a new wonder drug for it - Valdocalocane.

And what a voice! Mollie Kruczek sounds as if she has always been
Keira Grundy. I was especially impressed by how Sunny Ormonde
demonstrated that acting is a little more complicated than just saying
lines [1] and how her voice went into a different register when Lilian
was talking to Keira. And impressed that Sarah Hehir had given her
lines that allowed her to do that. Erme - it was Lilian she was having
the conversation with, wasn't it? Ironically, I could detect those
subtle shifts within the voice pretty well but I still have an awful
lot of difficulty distinguishing one voice from another.

[1]If you didn't hear Bill Nighy on Front Row tonight then I'd
recommend seeking out that part of the show. Especially when he
describes how acting is what you do to cover up your fear and panic
when you are on stage and absolutely terrified about standing in front
    of all those people.
