I thoroughly enjoyed series 1-6 and thought that all the loose ends
had been tied up by the end and that was that. So I'm not sure whether
I'm looking forward to this series or not.

Some people manage a (final?) artistic flourish magnificently well:
think of David Bowie who, ten years ago released the astonishingly
good Blackstar and died two days later. Some people don't. Gabriel
Garc0a Mbrquez knew that he had lost it and ordered his last book to
be destroyed. His family disobeyed his wishes and had it published
anyway. Spoiler alert: it was rubbish and GGM knew it.

I imagine that Jan Etherington will have been at something of a loose
end since Gavin Petrie died from his Alzheimer's Disease - she wrote
about the difficulties of caring for him and watching his decline -
but does it warrant a new series? I guess we will find out this
    afternoon.

    Appreciated. Listening now.

Previous series, I've not followed religiously - just enjoyed when I
happened to catch an episode. I just enjoy hearing the two of them. (I
enjoy almost anything JL does - actually AbFab least, though I did enjoy
    it, for the cast.)

I found it a pleasant 15 minutes or so. (Sadly I only saw Nick's post
when it was half way through.)
Followed by something about the character I always, as a child, thought
of as Donkey Hotey (since Dad always pronounced it correctly).
