    This is just a quick email to let you know that I am still around but
    unable to use my Usenet service.
    One by one they seem to disappear. I am now about to try Eternal
    September.
    I should like to say thank you to anyone who acknowledged my birthday. I
    can no longer even read groups. Booo.

    The options for a quick and dirty look (down Brritski!) at usenet on
    the web are rapidly fading so if Pauline can get Eternal September
    working with a newsreader, so much the better. In the meantime as a
    read-only source for the wit and wisdom of umra, maybe she could try:
