• The Archers Podcast and Front Row

Judging by the frenzied burst of activity on umra, thanks to the
George storyline (Steveski, I'm looking at you) it might be worth my
mentioning two broadcasts, even if all it does is help you avoid them.

For the second time ever in the history of the universe, The Archers
Podcast was broadcast on the radio. It replaced Sunday's edition of
"Profile" so lasted for fifteen minutes. Did anyrat listen to it? Me
neither. But if anybody is interested, you'll find it here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0mtr7v0. There's probably a podcast,
podcast version of this podcast too, if you want to look for it.

And talking of repetition of descriptive words and phrases, I found it
deeply, deeply, deeply irritating that Front Row's guest, Jeremy Howe,
was so, so, so carried away by what he was saying that he had, had,
had to repeat exciting words for emphasis. In Nigerian Pidgin this is
called reduplication. I wonder if we are going to have some Nigerian
characters turn up in Ambridge soon and, if so, whether they will live
    at No.419 The Green?
Front Row can be heard at https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002rdpf

PS and WRT Front Row, was Baz Luhrman drunk, coked up or just stoned
    when he recorded his interview?

I didn't notice that because I was shouting at the radio about his smug, self-congratulatory tone when telling the audience how wonderful all his storylines have been.
