  • Merry Christmas +Question

    Merry Christmas to all! How many are still around? I've been here in
    the background, but this place is a bit like a half-abandoned Soviet-era liminal lobby space since that lot ran off to startup a Facebook group
    that promised it wasn't a replacement for usenet.

    Anyway -- my question (in case anyone can answer) is... I'd like to buy
    ARC Raiders for my daughter on PS5, but she doesn't have PS Plus... I do.

    Will she have to play it as gunthergloop, or is there a way for her to
    play as herself? My son's id is already the registered owner of this playstation, so can't do an "owner wangle".

    Are there different savegame slots in ARC Raiders perhaps that will
    allow for various characters in various gameplay states?


    Is there any reason I should buy it under her name/ PS id, even though
    she doesn't/ won't have PS Plus?



    Suggestions?

    Luckily I have levelled up my Russian language reading through low fps
    Soviet detritus explorations in Rise of the Tomb Raider. Da.

    Whatever the technical side might happen to be, I think this approach
    would make it clearest that the game was bought for her, which I
    suspect probably has some value even if it (say) isn't perfectly
    optimal otherwise. Just my personal take as a random childless weirdo
    on the the internet. :-)
