Driver: Parallel Lines (PC) - finished the story missions, I only had
a few left as it turned out. I suppose overall the game was... sort of
not too bad, with probably the map being the best feature, such as it
is. I might have been a bit more enthusiastic if I'd actually played
the Wii version at the time (assuming that was a bearable port), but
now it's hard not to see this as leaning too much on the twin time
periods gimmick with not a whole lot else to distinguish it from other city-based sandbox games involving crime, cars, and combat, like the
obvious example everyone always thinks of, Lego City Undercover.

DPL having NPCs flying around in helicopters at times, but seemingly
not letting you do that yourself - actually making it inferior in that
respect to LCU. Similarly, there's an inexplicable lack of
chicken-assisted gliding and cannon-powered pig collection available
to the player, though at least in those cases the NPCs magnanimously
choose not to taunt us with such profligate lifestyle choices.
