I set out into the world on Saturday intending to come home with a
Playstation 5 Pro and I couldn't convince myself that it was worth it.
I'm sure that I'll change my mind at some point.

    Play:
    --=--

Suikoden Remastered (PS5) - So I remember none of the first Suikoden in
spite of owning the game for 25 years, and I wonder if my memories of
another game have been mixed up in all of the pain and head trauma.
Usually when I talk about these old console RPGs I cite the original
Lunar as the best example of the breed, but the first Suikoden makes a
strong case for itself on the strength of the narrative alone.
Privileged people of institutions who become aware of injustice and
decide to rebel against a corrupt government? I wonder why that story
    might be so relevant now.

There's not much 'remastering' going on here. It's all still pixel art
and 2D graphics, so anybody expecting new play mechanisms or updated
creature comforts is going to be a bit disappointed. By way of example,
you don't have a pool of unused equipment, each character can only equip
what is being carried, and you have to manually transfer items from one
person to another if you want to swap stuff around. I suspect they spent
a bit more time redoing the giant battles of Suikoden II, but I'm
    nowhere near starting that yet.

Lunar Remastered (PS5) - This week! Maybe.

    Nothing game-related.

    Play:

Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PC) - story-centric on this again. I have the
feeling that there probably isn't a whole lot more story to go, but
that might depend on whether there's still another half-dozen twists
to be squeezed in before the end credits.

    Want:

Golf Club Nostalgia (PC) - originally GC Wasteland, I think.
Post-apocalyptic golfing tourism by the ultra-rich as they revisit the
ravaged Earth after abandoning it for Mars. I suspect it may be
slightly satirical, but with such extreme subtlety it's hard to be
    sure. :-)

    Bin:

    Nothing.

One thing I prefer about the games over actual Lego is that you can't
tread on them. Well, not the download versions at least.
