It's really big of Qatar to let Trump take credit for all their
diplomatic work. I wonder how they're going to use that Idaho air base.

    Play:
    --=--

Evercade Atari Arcade Vol 2 (EVC) - So the only reason to own this is
for Berzerk, but the other stuff is interesting from a historical
perspective at very least. Fire Truck is almost playable on the EXP
handheld, and Maze Invaders is an unusual rarity that probably deserved
    more attention 40 years ago.

Taito Arcade Vol 1 and Vol 2 (EVC) - Got these in the same order. They
went by in a blur of "I think I've played this before" and only mild
buyer's remorse. It's nice to have a fourth copy of arcade-perfect
Bubble Bobble to play, I suppose.

    Want:
    --=--

More time (RL) - I meant to get deep into one of the RPGs I have in
flight because it's technically a long bank holiday weekend for me in
the States. As it stands my weekend was consumed with home repair and parenting and a small amount of panic about medical procedures later in
    the week. Ageing stinks.

    Bin:
    -==-

    Nothing gaming-related.

-KKC, who needs to unplug his landline phone for sanity's sake.

Tetris Attack (SNES) - Time Trial mode again. To be honest, I was kind
of just playing a bit of something so I could mention it here, as it's
fair to say that RL dominated the last week. Still, it was nice to let
my brain run on automatic doing something familiar.

This is both me and Outrun, and by this point, me and my posts
    referencing that fact. :-)

    Nothing.

I think this is one time where I'll echo that.

Interestingly, I lack the actual Megadrive/Genesis Outrun cartridge. I
have the actual proper game a million times over on many other
platforms, and in its Megadrive form on several retro collections. But
I've never shelled out for the actual cart. I really want it though even
as I can't justify collector prices for it.

If I'm honest with myself, Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast is what I've ended
up playing more. It's a better game but it's also got more entertainment value. Even if I get arcade-perfect original Outrun (like in a Yakuza
game or something) it just doesn't have quite the same appeal.

-KKC, who wonders why Sega hasn't milked that property more.

I'd agree with that, despite still having a fondness for the original.
I think mostly it's just been a lot easier to end up with many
versions of the older game - also, I was quite young when I first
played the slideshow speccy port, so it's pretty solidly carved into
    my brain.
