Oh hey, I could have done a backronym out of 'Preservation' if I really
    tried.

    Play:
    --=--

ESPN NBA 2K5 (PS2) - Lakers over Pistons 43-39 in an abbreviated
exhibition game. This is what I do with sports games, watch the computer
play itself and cinematically present a sports event. The whole point of running this was to validate that I could make all the steps of the disc resurfacing work, from the sanding to the buffing to the polishing. And
it works! So now I have one more working PS2 disc than I did a week ago.

    Want:
    --=--

Bloody Roar 3 (PS2) - Ordered! Sort of. It was part of another cheap lot
of crap games and I discovered that I've never owned a Bloody Roar game before. It just never occurred to me to get it in the rush of other more beloved fighting games. Plugging that gap then.

Tomb Raider Collection (EVC) - Amazon finally charged me for the stupid Evercade cartridge. It's like they're telling me to order directly from Funstock instead of through them, which I will do next time. I bet they
got screwed by the exchange rate and thought they could
    passive-aggressively trick me into cancelling.

    Bin:
    -==-

    Nothing game-related.

    Expenditure:
    -----=-----

    Balance forward - $2,357

I'll tot that up later once the rest of the stuff comes in.

    -KKC, who needs more sleep.

Minecraft (Linux) - in shocking news, I did some mining in the mining
and crafting game. I still haven't got a full diamond armour set ready
to disappear the next time I fall into lava, so obviously that needs
to happen. It means either mining a lot more diamonds, or doing a
bunch of trading with villagers - of supposedly mutual benefit, though
in practice it means trading for junk until you level them up enough
to have the chance of maybe eventually doing some trading you might
actually care about. Somehow, I'm not overly shocked to find myself
more drawn to the antisocial digging-a-hole approach.

Just you watch, devs will realise the appeal of this sort of idea and
start including a special mode for attracting players. The tough part
    is what to call it.

    Want:

    Nothing.

    Bin:

Now I come to think of it, Minecraft villagers being a bit too much
like loot boxes (at least in terms of the levelling-up trade unlocks).
As much as I've never been a big fan of the trading in the game,
that's still not a terribly fun realisation.
