Well this is going to work out exactly how everybody predicts it will,
    won't it?

    Play:
    --=--

Wappy Dog (DS) - Actually it's more that my son was playing, and put
nearly nine hours into the silly game. He unlocked all 14 of the virtual
toys that you can use to engage with the dog in the "away' or remote
mode (where you presumably don't have access to the robot dog) and has unlocked a pile more options to praise and and play with the little
thing. He's genuinely attached to it now, even though it's an inert
piece of white and blue plastic, and I wonder what he's learning from
the experience apart from that he can basically take ownership of any
one of my toys that I'm not paying enough attention to

Rogue64 (EVC) - I'm reduced to doing what Rus does and I'm reporting on
a thing I do to pass the time idly rather than on a game experience with narrative and deep personal meaning. It's Rogue but structured for the Commodore 64, and it's nearly a perfect electronic RPG for bite-sized
moments in a day where there isn't enough time for anything else. I've
been playing it nightly because I have no time for anything else.

    Want:
    --=--

A consolidated Elden Ring release (PS5) - I'm presuming that this would
come out on PS5 exclusively since there's no point to a PS4 disc and
nobody buys Xbox games anymore. Every previous Souls-like from From was published as an initial edition, and then later as a consolidated disc
with all of the DLC and bugfixes right there on the media. The only
exception was Bloodborne, where the later disc was an EU-region
exclusive that never made it to the US. So it's entirely reasonable for
me to assume that Elden Ring will similarly have a collected and
therefore an authoritative release on regular media for the benefit of
all gamers who like to play games unencumbered by the obligations of an
    online distribution network.

    Bin:
    -==-

    Nothing game-related.

    Expenditure:
    -----=-----

    Balance forward - $1,515

-KKC, who has too much to do on a week with a bank holiday in it.

While things seem rather awkward across the Channel, here I think a
    rerun of 1997 is inevitable...

    Play:

Tetris Attack (SNES) - which definitely doesn't date from 1996 and
spoil the joke. Anyway, revisiting Time Trial mode as ever, I actually
did marginally better than last time for no good reason.

Rogue64 (EVC) - I'm reduced to doing what Rus does

This is where I say "excellent" in my best Monty Burns voice.

    Want:

    Nothing.

    Bin:

Vaguely wondering if TA's dark-blue triangle block would be DLC in a
    modern version.

    -Rus.
