Well, you cats haven't had one of these in a while. It was probably time.

    Play:
    --=--

Transformers: War for Cybertron (PS3) - Hooray, I finally have this game
on PS3! Now I can play online without the need for an active Xbox Live subscription. Never mind that they shut down the servers in 2021, I'm
ready if there's ever a comeback. I don't really know why I bought this, except that it was cheap and attractive and came with the case. It's
gotten great reviews (and has a small tribe of fanatics who are
desperately keeping the delisted Steam version going) but I find it impenetrable and opaque. I can't really tell what's a target or an ally
or a doorway or a puff of smoke, because everything is so bland and overdesigned. A bit like Darksiders in a way, in that all this artwork
would look great in a comic book panel but doesn't make any sense when
it has to move around in a 3D space. Oh well, I own it now and it can go attractively on the shelf next to its sequel with the name that makes it alphabetically go first.

    Want:
    --=--

To be more selective about what I buy (RL) - I suppose this problem
solves itself eventually, because there's functionally less reasonable
new game product for me to buy and all my expenditure tends to go
towards retro purchases. So I will eventually run out of old things to
buy because none of the new things will persist or work without online services and will therefore not become part of any retro library in the
same way. It also means something that I had a long bank-holiday weekend
and somehow only found time for one game.

    Bin:
    -==-

    Nothing game-related.

    Expenditure:
    -----=-----

    Balance forward - $1,480

    Wappy Dog (DS) - $35

    Total to date - $1,515

-KKC, looking to put more time into gaming as summer heats up.

Given the present lot's apparent policy focus so far, it may have been necessary to go to the polls as soon as possible, lest the voters that
    they're targeting become ex-voters.

    Play:

Outrun 2006 (PC) - cleared Flagman 1 with keyboard controls, which was
clearly a very sensible thing to do. Running on Wine it still seems to stubbornly insist on falling over every so often, so I suspect I might
mostly end up sticking to the Outrun 2 SP or Outrun modes on this. But
I did at least make a point of buying the Who Are You remix given that
this version is generous enough to let me actually do so.

    Want:

    Nothing.

    Outrageous. :-)

    Bin:

Having done my usual thing on Outrun 2006 playthroughs - by buying the
music I want first then leaving myself having to grind for ages to get
    any cars.
