Oh, that's a misleading headline. 'Tories pledge to get all oil out of
North Sea' means that they're going to drill more, not that they're
going to stop drilling. English is a stupid language to communicate
    news in.

The Last Guardian (PS5) - Surprisingly into it, although the cramped
tunnel running and terrible camera might put me off again. I appreciate
that the game is trying to do something cinematic and vibe-y, and the
framing device of the game as a flashback is really interesting. I think
what interests me the most about the game is that this is how I imagined
Tomb Raider would be on modern systems, rather than the fully canned and relentlessly linear game that the series is currently. Last Guardian is
no less linear but it feels more open and free, so it never seems like
you're being herded towards the next checkpoint by some fussy auteur.

Dragon Quest III HD 2D Remake (PS5) - I haven't made it that far in, but
I've had enough time with the game now to observe that I remember
nothing about DQ3. I must own three different iterations of this game on
three different previous platforms and I don't recall an Ultima-style character generator or any kind of absent parent plot driver. Voices are
nicer than I though they were going to be too.

Juiced (PS2) - THQ's last racing series of any note got published by
Sega in Japan, and it's the only reason I have any awareness of it at
all. If the PS2 game turns out to have any merit I'll probably pay the higher-than-expected price for the sequel on PS3.

Psychonauts 2 (PC) - finished it now, and pretty good overall I think.
Though the apparent obsession with seemingly everything being in
groups of three, that did get a bit comical... maybe a trio of devs
were secretly Manx fans of Rendezvous with Rama or something. Thus triangulating their truly tyrannical trinity's trickily tripled
    trolling.

But does a quick querulous questioning of such a quirky quotient
quality call on said quest's quixotic Questionable Area too much?

Maybe I just match thrice the patterns I should.
