• Humax HDR Fox T2 playing up

Our old Humax doesnrCOt owe us anything but itrCOs having boot up issues. When powered up thererCOs no spinny noises from the hard drive and it goes through several boot up cycles before the drive eventually boots up. From then on,
    it works perfectly.

WhatrCOs the likeliest cause? ItrCOs had a new hard drive or two in its long life but nothing else.

rCLIt is not the truth of Marxism that explains the willingness of intellectuals to believe it, but the power that it confers on
intellectuals, in their attempts to control the world. And since...it is futile to reason someone out of a thing that he was not reasoned into,
we can conclude that Marxism owes its remarkable power to survive every criticism to the fact that it is not a truth-directed but a
    power-directed system of thought.rCY

I have been having posting issues; let's see if this gets through.

This is a very common fault. It's an electrolytic capacitor (4.7uF) on
the main board, bear centre front. Fixed mine with no trouble (easier
to do with a wire ended replacement, there's plenty of room).

Full details on hummy.tv, which is unfortunately down right now.

Failing that, I have a spare in storage, and I'm visiting the unit next
week. I can bring it back and take pictures.
