    +U120 when I looked today.

You did well to get one at +U15.
All sold now, looks like they had over 50 of them probably from a strip-
out of a control room, or CCTV monitoring centre?-a Re-jigged all my
cabling today and working nicely ...

    Hi Andy
hmm, so yours is working OK?

I just collected mine - plugged it into a 5V 2.5A adapter, and all the
front panel LEDs are on... doesn't seem to change if I plug anything
into the rear, and the switches have no effect ;-(

Yes (I bought two, have only tried one so far) it's working fine, have upgraded firmware to latest.

Does it beep if you press [ScrollLk] twice? (beeper can be silenced in settings though).

Other ways to test for signs of life ...

What if you power off, hold button 1 while inserting power connector?
All orange LEDs should start flashing. if so it's in firmware mode.

    Or press and hold [NumLk]
    type [NumPadMinus]
    release [NumLk]

Caps and Scroll LEDs should flash alternately, if so that's in setting
    mode.

    Hi Andy
Thanks for the extra details, some of which I knew; but I am pretty
sure mine is kaput. There seems to be no power going to the 'common'
keyboard USB - my keyboard is not lighting up. I think I tried going
into firmware mode, but I will recheck.

I have a suspicion it worked for 30secs after I first powered it up -
but my granddaughter, with better ears than me, shouted 'what's that
annoying high pitched noise' ... and I unplugged things. After that ...
nada. So I suspect an internal power issue. I have confirmed that my 5V
    PSU is fine.

The seller has been communicative and is sending me out a 'tested'
replacement ... I will update when that arrives.

Good to know that you upgraded the FW successfully ... I saw that
procedure and have downloaded the latest FW image.

Interestingly this unit is still recognised as a hub if I plug one of
the input USBs into my Linux PC

    Cheers, J^n

Sounds hopeful, at least having sold 50 of them they had the sense to
keep one or two to replace any DoA, do let us know

In fairness to the seller, he sent me another unit without qualms, and
without asking for proof that the old one was faulty.
The replacement unit seems to be fine. It has not fixed the problem that
I saw on the previous (Startech) KVM, but that is not the sellers fault.
In fact I think it demonstrates that my issue is on the host machine.

Oh well. Still pleased with my purchase, thanks for the pointer Andy.
