I saw a reference to this article the other day about Liquid Glass:

    <https://tidbits.com/2025/10/09/how-to-turn-liquid-glass-into-a-solid-interface/>

I haven't tried the various suggestions as I'm trying to live with
the feature, so don't blame if they don't work or worse ;-)

    Interesting article, thanks.

I've been trying various settings, but and got all my devices into a bit
of a mess with various different setups.

I'm trying the TB suggestions of basically just using Reduce Transparency.

rCo Reduce Motion doesn't seem to do much that I notice.
rCo Liquid Glass on/off, just don't know there. I hadn't noticed any
visual issues either way, but I may just not have spotted them.
rCo Increase Contrast, I kind of like what that does, but as they touch
on, it's a bit too harsh, so leave it off.

With Reduce Transparency enabled, it does seem to be the best compromise.

Why on earth did they do this, it was fine for the last 40-odd years.

In the Autumn upgrades of macOS etc. there will be slider control under System Settings -> Appearance which allows you to vary the amount of transparency
etc. I've tried it out on GG Beta and it does have some effect.

That worked for me as well. What I do not like about Liquid Glass are
    the blurred menu bars.

I don't even notice it anymore. I use tinted glass, reduce transparency and increase contrast. Nothing bleeds through from one window to another.

BTW I have used increase contrast for years. Makes all colors brighter instead of pale and washed out.
