Has anyone managed to record anything via their Apple TV Box?

I can connect a HD to my TV to record but it's a bit clunky and the TV hardware - a 5 year old Sony - is a bit on the slow side, so I was wondering...

I know there's always catch up / streaming but Auntie seems a bit random when withdrawing things from iPlayer.

    Didn't know you could! I have a HD and a first generation 4K, I don't
think they even have a USB port on them, or at least not on the 4K
anyway. Even then I think they were only a maintenance port.

Yeah, I've tried on a couple of TVs, but generally pretty useless.

Or finding the correct next episode.

I think the easiest is probably download to a device then Airplay.

No Idea. I stumbled upon a mention of someone doing it a couple of months ago and didn't take any notice at the time but have been unable to find it again. --- Synchronet 3.22a-Linux NewsLink 1.2

    I suspect it's probably a jailbreak thing.

Maybe. Perhaps the much rumoured new version will do it? (if it ever appears that is)

I very much doubt it, for all kinds of copyright reasons.
