Fortunately I ordered a new Macbook Air a few days ago! It would now
    be 200 pounds more.

Hmmm, then you *should* get a pre-price-rise discount.

After all: it's the thought that counts.

Sadly my finances donrCOt allow for an immediate purchase currently. ThatrCOs why IrCOve been thinking about it. IrCOve always been reluctant to use the never never before you ask!

Similar! I just got under the wire and ordered an iPad Air. The price
has since gone up from 699 to 849. Yikes.

So only the wholesale prices went up? Not the retail prices?

But seriously. I got a 32GB RAM 2TB SSD Mac mini 4 last year. I got a 512GB SSD Neo In May, for $600 plus tax. I got a 256GB iPhone 16 Pro Max last year.
    I already have several iPads.

I'm good. I can ride out the crazy prices.

Well I certainly won't be buying the rumoured M5 Ultra Mac Pro with
768GB RAM. As the MacRumors article says, buyers may need to fork out at
    least 10 grand!

Yeah I know but it's interesting to note just how much a very high end
Mac costs. I'm thinking of replacing my Intel MBA and am considering
the M5 model. The Intel will then have a suitable Linux distro
    installed.

For the target audience it's simply a budget line and the cost of being in business.

There are lots available on the Apple refurb store.
