FWIW it still runs via SheepShaver and BasiliskII emulation apps even on >>>>>> Silicon Macs.
Oh man! I used to use that 20+ years ago. How straightforward is it setting up
SheepShaver?
Have a look here.
<https://sheepshaver.cebix.net>
and here to download the latest version of SS and also BasiliskII.

You'll need to get an installer and Mac ROM files too - it's all
explained in the help and support stuff.
Useful places for finding installers and other utilities for Classic
Mac systems is. (You'll probably need to register.)

There is also <macintoshrepository.org> but some users (e.g. on Reddit) >>>> are not happy with it.

I've found that both SS and BasiliskII crash from time to time but
I've managed to get them working on both Intel and Silicon Macs plus
in Linux on an ancient HP Laptop.
Thanks Alan. I'll take a look when I get a chance!
I can email you some useful files if you wish or upload them to a
private secure location if you wish.
Thanks but this is one of those 'when I get round to it' things - maybe a few weeks or a few months. I may nudge you when the time arrives!
Fair enough. Incidentally if you install UTM you could use one or more pre-built VMs of several classic Mac OS's (9.1, 9.2.2, 10.0, 10.1, 10.2,
10.3, 10.4, 10.5). See:-

BTW the link opens better in FF than Safari!
