I have just had a fascinating conversation with Google's AI about my
    Z170-K motherboard :-)

    It said:

    The Motherboard M.2 Slot:
Populating the onboard NVMe slot will disable SATA ports 5 and 6 on this motherboard.

    Anybody confirm/deny that?

If it's true I might as will use the Z170-P which has 2 fewer SATA slots.

    Many thanks.

There's 2 typos of peoples in this world.
Those who always notice spelling & grammatical errors, & them who doesn't.

My goodness, I am having a more intelligent discussion with AI than many humans....

Q: Are you sure Populating the onboard NVMe slot will disable SATA ports 5
    and 6 on this motherboard
A: Yes, a correction is needed here: populating the onboard M.2 slot with
an NVMe drive will not disable SATA ports 5 and 6 on the ASUS Z170-K or Z170-P.
