They did an in depth analysis of the data from one county in Washington
state. They managed to convince 71% of the population of that county to
be vaccinated, but 29%, apparently did not want to be vaccinated or were missed. After vaccination there were a total of 3,086 recorded hospitalizations and 591 covid related deaths. So many of the deaths
and hospitalizations came from the unvaccinated group that they estimate
that they estimate that without vaccination there would have been an additional 4307 deaths and 16,607 hospitalizations. These estimates are higher than just accounting for 29% unvaccinated because most of the
deaths and hospitalizations occurred among the age group of 65 years and older, and this group had the highest rate of vaccination. If you were unvaccinated and 65 years of age or older you were much more likely to
die or be hospitalized than if you had taken the vaccine.
