Recently I could not get the C4ID UK IDiotic creationist organization
links to work, and it looks like the Center for Intelligent Design is defunct.-a When I did a Google search this link came up as having some information on the ID scam in the UK.

The author claimed that even though the ID perps were still claiming to
be gaining ground in terms of overthrowing the real science that it was simply irrelevant and never discussed in his experience with the
scientific endeavor for the last 20 years.-a The ID scam never came up except as a joke at the Plant and Animal Genome meeting in San Diego
that I attended every year between 1994 and 2023.-a It was a period of
time when the greatest advances in genomics was occurring, and the ID
scam never contributed to any of it.-a None of it was about denial, but
what was now possible and what advances were being made.-a Sticks should read his historical account of just about never having to deal with the
ID scam.-a He noted that the ID perps were acting as if the scam was
still relevant by starting an ID scam unit in the UK in Cambridge so
that they could fool the rubes with associating with that University, so
I looked it up.
The ID perps had announced it's opening in 2024.-a The C4ID web site was still funcioning then, but the most recent articles on the C4ID web site dated from 2018 when I last checked.-a The organization seems to have died.
The New ID scam unit was supposed to open Aug 2024.-a When I searched for
it I got two hits.
https://biblicalcreationtrust.org/pdf/Cambridge%20House.pdf
Cambridge House sounds like what the ID perps described when they
announced the effort, but it is a Biblical creationist organization that seems to want to do the same thing as the ID perps.-a I do not know if
the ID perps are involved in this effort, but my guess is that their creationist "faculty" may over lap if they are creationists coming from
the local universities.-a It is registered as a Christian ministry.
https://whewellcentre.uk/
The ID perp scam artists are naming their effort after a past president
of Cambridge University.-a Support from dead people is about all the
support that they can get from academia at this time.-a The Article on
the Discovery Institute web page claimed that this scam unit would have
some type of faculty or mentors, and would be taking students.-a There
would be visiting mentors to aid in brain washing the ignorant and incompetent.-a It sounded like a Discovery Institute run IDEA student club.
If you go to the web page you will find basically nothing.-a The Centre
has been around for a year and a half, but they have no research
programs listed.-a There is nothing about what they are doing or what
they want to do.-a Zero progress on the ID scam front.-a All that they
have mustered is an autumn lecture series for the last 2 weeks in Oct,
and one lecture in Nov 2025.-a Nothing is planned for 2026, so there was
no Winter lecture series, and it looks like no Spring lecture series is planned.-a Tour is a creationist that has admitted that he doesn't know
how to do any ID science, so how much did they have to pay him to go to Cambridge and participate in a 2 hr discussion on the ID scam?
https://whewellcentre.uk/events/autumn-lecture-series/
The Web site is still up and they are actively asking for donations, but
the donation site claims a 30,000 pound target, but registers 0% in
terms of reaching that funding goal.-a No one seems to be willing to give them money.-a You'd think that a scam artist like Meyer would put in 100 pounds to get it off the zero mark and make it look like there is some interest.-a My guess is that he profited substantially, from lending his time mentoring at the non profit.

It looks like there is no 2026 program because they can't suck enough
money out of the creationist rubes.-a The IDEA clubs had to foot the bill for getting an ID perp to speak at their University.-a The IDEA used to recommend that clubs pay $3,000 per ID perp plus transportation and
lodging (this was back in 2002).

Just an update. The ID perps still do not have anything on their UK
website in terms of information about what the Whewell ID perp center is supposed to be doing. They did put up a notice that there was going to
be a discussion May 25th, but they do not have anything else on their
schedule for 2026. Their fund raising site still has 0 contributions,
so the Wehwell Centre is not a big cash cow for the ID perps. The
closing date for the fund raising site is May 2031. That seems to be optimistic for a Centre that doesn't have any descriptions of what they
are supposed to be doing and why they are doing it. How can they expect people to buy into the junk when they do not tell the rubes what they
would be buying into? They had an Autumn lecture series in 2025 and
seem to have had one lecture in 2026. You'd think that they would have
some type of description of the program that they are trying to create
and how they expect to accomplish that. Why just maintain an empty
office in Cambridge?

This is all that they have about what the Whewell Centre is supposed to
be doing.
QUOTE:
The William Whewell Centre for Science and Natural Theology is an
independent academic center focusing on science and theism. Scientific discoveries in the 20th and 21st centuries have generated new data
supporting a theistic worldview. This compelling evidence merits a reinvestigation into the question of natural theology: Does nature
itself reveal the activity of a divine Mind? The Whewell Centre aims to
foster critical analysis and discussion of this and other questions that
arise from research and evidence in the natural sciences, social
sciences, and the history and philosophy of science. To this end, the
Centre seeks to mentor students, host faculty, and engage the general
public.
END QUOTE:
No mission statement, no goals, no research program, nothing about the
ID scam. The fund raising site does claim that they are raising funds
for the CSC Discovery Institute.
