This is basic biomechanics that only takes half a minute:
Stand in a sprinter's pose: one leg bent at the knee, the other resting on the heel, hands on the floor
Place one hand on the shoulder, then stretch it upwards
Lower the hands to the floor, roll onto the heel of the front leg
Return the legs to the previous position, interlock the hands

    What happens to the body:
The exercise trains the hip flexors these muscles weaken and shrink from prolonged sitting
Weakened flexors pull the pelvis forward and this paralyzes the buttocks
Disengaged buttocks strain the lower back, which in turn affects the thoracic spine
This leads to back pain and shoulder and neck tension from the load they've taken on from the hips, pelvis, and buttocks
The exercise warms up and awakens all these areas

It only took the guy in the video two weeks his lower back stiffness disappeared, his shoulders became more flexible, and his productivity increased

    Video below

I think I do this or some version of this nearly daily as part of a
physical therapy program. In my program, it is called a kickstand.
I donrCOt think it helps with insomnia, but has definitely helped with pain.
