reuben said it was okay that i fantasized about going back there to
kidnap him and bring him to come live with me in weho.
he hated his owner, who abused him, yelled at him upon their
reunification, and diggy was struggling furiously to get out of his
grip. the owner told me to throw ice on him if he came back, made him
stay outside, even in the cold rain, wouldn't feed him any meat, which
cats NEED for health, only some kooky macrobiotic diet, and refused to
put a collar on him, which caused him to be COVERED IN FLEAS AND FLEA
BITE SCABS ALL OVER HIS BODY, scratching like a madman with no relief in
sight, when i found him, and cared for him, giving him a collar which
healed him, and fed him tuna, the only thing was i could tell he wanted
to go outside sometimes TOO, but i was afraid of losing him, not knowing
that he would have come back for food and to hang out, he enjoyed it
inside, we had fun, he was sitting on my desk, watching me type,
following the blinking and moving cursor like that cartoon of the animal
eating corn on the cob like typing on a typewriter, and he would sit in
the window sill, looking out, which is how i knew he kinda wanted to go
out, too.
he was such a good cat, he came when you called, he refused to pee
anywhere but in a box, to hold it, and would come wake me up by sitting
on my chest and staring down in my face, watching me sleep, waiting for
me to open my eyes.
that happened to me once at andrea hall's house during a sleep-over. i
woke up in the morning and Gata was sitting on top of me, staring into
my face, purring.
cats can be very finicky, but some of them have really good
personalities. it's illegal to declaw a cat now, in california. i
wouldn't want a cat though, with claws. i hate them. only a rescue cat,
to whom somebody had already done it. but i'm not in the market for it
or anything. just if it happened somehow. also, i live right near the
front door of the building, so that sucks, if the cat got out and went
outside. the door isn't enough protection.
i was thinking i could make a gate for the entryway....a barrier between
the door and living room.
i don't know....i don't really want an animal as a pet.
i need a man.
how can i find one?
