The pro-Palestine messaging ignores the fact that a nuclear-armed Iran
would be far more belligerent and dangerous than the regime already has
been for the past three decades.

https://www.carolinajournal.com/opinion/the-ubiquity-of-useful-idiots/ "Whatever the provenance, useful idiot is now short speak for anyone
oblivious to the harmful effects of a given cause, political or otherwise. Useful idiots are not what one would call stupid; they are highly
intelligent and aware of the circumstances. The problem appears to be that they attribute to a given cause its positive effects only while turning a blind eye to its derogatory ones."

A good example is the foreign literary intellectual's praise for Stalin
during his brutal purges, which would have devoured them had they been Russians. https://fee.org/articles/george-bernard-shaw-was-so-enamored-with-socialism-he-advocated-genocide-to-advance-it/

My research suggests Lenin verbally used the Greek word "idiot" instead of
the Russian "durak" which is a useless fool. The Greek term originally meant one who doesn't participate in or even rejects their own government and society, a loner or hermit to a sociopath.
