    A little out of the timeframe, but are there any commoner descents from
    James II by 1800? ASIUI he had many illegitimate children but most were
    enobled in France and Spain, or married into nobility in the UK
    [Waldegrave, Phipps].

    Anne Horatio Waldegrave 1762-1801 was four generations down from James II

    She had no title, and only married an Admiral Hugh Seymour, although he
    was the son of Francis I Seymour, Marquess of /Hertford/ 1750

    Hugh was a second son and died before his elder brother, so he never
    inherited that title
