We've had the ISS for decades. That's a start.

Rocket failures are nothing new but a setback to Blue Origin means that
unless SpaceX finally gets Starship together we're looking at a
significant delay to Artemis 3... Which means a significant delay to
Artemis 4... Which means, and I'm sad to say, without a quick turnaround
this accident could have just lost America the race to the Lunar South
    Pole.

    I'm calling a red moon by 2028.

Who knows, though, maybe that's just what the space program needs - a
    good kick in the pants.

Possibly. Time will tell. But that doesn't mean no colonization at all.

I hate to break it to you, but the Italian Navy has already
beaten everyone. They have the Laurenti Bros. Magic Flying
Submarine and no rocket will ever beat it.

It will be there on the moon before you know it.

As soon as it gets off Laurenti's mother's dining room
    table...

Any minute now. Then you'll be sorry you laughed!!!

    no colonization with rocketry

Maybe it would be a good idea to not fill-up the rocket to the brim with flammable and explosive fuel during a static test? Maybe just enough to
light the engines for a few seconds?

And how about performing the static test away from the launch tower?
    Would this be feasible?

If Bezos sprung for a static test stand, yes.
