    Tor has proven itself over the years. I don't believe nation states are
    actively monitoring Tor. And even if they did they wouldn't be able to
    use any timing information in a court case.

    Do nation states go to court...?! They will collect and analyze your data
    and with whom you are communicating with, via the Tor network and then
    take actions against you, if you did something illegal!


    I'm talking about democratic Western nations. In authoritarian nations there are easier ways. They'll just identify anyone connecting to a Tor node and torture them to death.
