One less lunar crew member, Bll Anders, has died in a solo plane crash
in the San Juan Islands, Washington state. Anders was lunar module
pilot on Apollo 8 and took the Earthrise picture some people have seen.

Anders was also a Gemini crew member (backup pilot for XI and
potentially on a XIII if Gemini had had another flight) and backup CMP
    for Apollo 11.

He left NASA for the NASC advising Nixon, and moved from there to the
AEC/NRC before being Ambassador to Norway. In the private sector, he
did stints GE, Textron, and the board of General Dybnamics.
