But Venezuela does not belong to US-jurisdiction and only international
laws are applicable, besides from the local laws.

If now someone wants his item back, he had to prove, that none of the
above were in fact the case.
Then we have a term in Germany called 'Verj|nhrung'.
This means:
if someone has some object in his posession for more than thirty years
and never had the idea, that thing was stolen, but assumed to have it legally, the real owner cannot have it back.
Therefor it is usually impossible to claim ownership after moire than 30 years in Germany, because it is very difficult to prove, that the person having the item knew, that it was stolen.
