Astronomers have captured their clearest image yet of BetelgeuserCOs long-suspected companion, potentially ending a search that lasted about
100 years. The surprisingly massive hidden star could help explain BetelgeuserCOs changing brightness and may influence its future supernova.

The article does not say anything about the possibility that the obsrved
star is not an unrelated star in the same direction. Nothing is said
about its orbital parameters, either. More observations are needed.
