    "Convergent Divergent nozzle" is an intriguing technology, and the

    Someone did their homework:-) Along with hours/hours of testing the
    engine design.

    For the pilot, I suspect it was more about monitoring the gauges than
    piloting the SR-71 Blackbird. Each mission was pre-programmed into
    the navigation equipment, so the autopilot was engaged.
