• A recommendation for /linear algebra/ textbook, can be old

    Dear sci.math,

What is a good reintroductory book on /linear algebra/. I used to
use some book as an undergraduate math major, with programming examples
in Matlab. Since I plan to just use GNU Octave[1], that'll be fine.

    I have DVDs for /The Great Courses/' /Mastering Linear Algebra/ on the
way, and am looking for a math major relevant textbook to accompany the
    course.

I have /Advanced Linear Algebra/ on my shelf, but it's for graduates,
and doesn't seem to have any reintroductory material for the basics at
    all.

Please do not recommend any LLM, not even one that's only been trained
    on /linear algebra/ textbooks.

    Thank you.

For a rigorous introduction try Axler's Linear Algebra Done Right. https://linear.axler.net/

Thank you. Are there any other books with examples in Matlab or GNU
Octave that I can also add to my curriculum?

No such examples, but I liked
