Around 45 sec. he says [He (Proust) was buoyant] --- Why is this funny?
They had been discussing how Proust was gay, and Stephen had just mentioned how Proust only wrote in
a cork-lined room, being very "sensitive". Bill suggests he was bouyant. Ho ho, well corks float!
And also Proust was gay, so he liked buoys/boys?
The way he said it, it sounded like Boyt (Boy't) --- what accent is that?

I don't know, but they don't generally do that so it must be part of some ongoing game being played
