  • College break topographic maps to hike across Darien Region Between Colombia and Panama

    USA college kids want to hike across the Darien Region Between Colombia and Panama during their Christmas break and they know I boondoggle in the USA.

    They asked me for georeferenced map sources but I only hike in the USA, so
    all I know are the usgs topographic quadrangles which are great but which unfortunately don't cover any areas outside the USA (to my knowledge).

    Equally unfortunately, OSM topographic maps, in general, are almost
    worthless by way of comparison to usgs accuracy - which is why I'm here.

    I'm hoping that someone on this ng knows of a good freely available source
    for accurate 24k topographic geopdf maps of such regions outside the USA.

    They're on a mix of iOS and Android.
