    if and when google actually does irreversibly disconnect their usenet gateway
    then yes, it is one hundred percent shutdown of google groups from the user's
    network . . . but until this widely anticipated ban of google is proven fact
    to the satisfaction of usenet nntp server administrators and users around the
    world, it's no more than something fun to discuss in these unmoderated forums
