• I'd give this one to the natives

Normally, I'd take dim view of Stone Age cultures objective to building telescopes on mountains. But I'd let the Indians have this one. Turning the moon into some cemetery for rich -----heads is just vulgar.

Dumping people's ashes on the Moon seems just fine to me. What's
    "vulgar" about it?

We are a secular nation. No religious privilege should ever be given.
This claim should be summarily dismissed.

I figured we could limit garbage dumping to probes and things, at least till colonies are set-up there.

Well, when you finally kick it, I'll argue that your ashes are
"garbage". Not so much most people's.

Perhaps you had confused the premise of a famous TV show,
Space: 1999, which starred Mission: Impossible actors
Martin Landau and Barbara Bain, with a serious proposal to
do this in the real world.
Or, given the smileys, perhaps you knew of the TV show, and
    were just kidding.
