Some instructions for those that have nix-bin in their distribution and
other i2p related. Nix users know the drill...
Nix-bin does not work very well in most distributions including Kaisen
but most of the time you can surpass the obstacles.

To install nix i2p java 2.6 after you installed nix-bin (example: sudo
    apt install nix-bin)

    sudo nix-channel --add https://nixos.org/channels/nixpkgs-unstable
    nixpkgs
    sudo nix-channel --update
    sudo nix-shell -p i2p

In Kaisen, nix run does NOT work so you have to drop to nix-shell to run i2prouter command. Lazy people such as myself just repeat sudo
nix-shell -p i2p command and once that you are in nix-shell execute
    i2prouter.

The i2pplus that I got from tracker2.postman.i2p appears genuine and
very good so far (not enough time to test it)

Of course if you would like to try nix i2pd the only thing different is
    i2pd instead of i2p.

I'm a great supporter of the Right 2 Try. Some people got dropped by
their mothers on their head. 333.i2p has erased my account for my own protection. I dedicate this Aretha Franklin song to that person:
    It's your thing
You do what you want to do
    I can't tell you
    Who to suck it to...

I did not tested the router enough to curse it or recommend it. 80% of
my routers are Nix java different versions.
Nix is not for the faint of heart. The package manager does solve some problems and if you are not careful or experienced it creates others. I
do not recommend NixOS. Because the i2p network is under continuous
attacks and monitoring and other branches have some serious problems
with downloading and protection, Nix package manager should be
    consider.

You can't let go of the other protection such as OpenSnitch, Firewalld
(or equivalent), file systems, hardware encription, BIOS etc... Nix
    is not a silver bullet.

I can fart my mouth all day long about Nix but the truth is that it
became a good choice for me because of the demise of GUIX.

PS. It does have a wrapper and the i2p tray icon. Take it easy and
use test OSes so I don't bite my tongue. There is a learning curve and
some make it and the MAJORITY does not.
