I've been running a Synchronet install for RetroBBS for years. I started
it before I got back into Usenet, before i2pn2 and before RSLight. In
fact, RSLight was supposed to simply be an interface to Synchronet when
I started.
Anyway, I've gone ahead and cleaned up the BBS, added a ton of files
(old DOS/Win/OS2) stuff, and made it once again available online.
If you're interested, it's available here:
Telnet: retrobbs.synchro.net Port:23
RLogin: retrobbs.synchro.net Port:513
FTP: retrobbs.synchro.net Port:21
Gopher: retrobbs.synchro.net Port:70
IRC: retrobbs.synchro.net Port:6667
and a web accessible Telnet client:
https://www.rocksolidbbs.com/common/viewbbs.php
Note: Some features don't work well in a web client, but run fine via
Telnet
SyncTERM is a nice client for visiting BBSs:

Feel free to check it out if you're bored.
