If I search alt.comp.freeware using the search term ClipGrab, the 2
matches have unique links that go directly to those posts in that same
thread.
Shouldn't the "copy mid" (Copy Message-Id to Clipboard) and "copy link"
(Copy Article Link to Clipboard) for those posts be the same unique
links as the search results?

Are they not? I just tried the search (ClipGrab in Subject) and here's
what I get:
The copy link and copy mid are dependent on javascript to work properly.
If you mean that the 'copy mid' is not a link, it is not meant to be,
it's just the Message-ID.
If you're getting something other than what I get above, please let me
know specifically what you see (what does 'copy link' 'copy mid'
provide, and for what specific articles, and I'll look into it.
Thanks for providing feedback :)

If you select the Search Result, https://www.novabbs.com/computers/article-flat.php?id=5732&group=alt.comp.freeware#5732,
the "copy mid" and "copy link" for the second post in that thread look
like they reference the first post if you hover the pointer over them. Selecting either of those does seem to work like it should.
Sorry for the confusion...
