• Quote button while opening new thread

    Hello,

of course, one could chosse the good button
"Post Article" instead. "Quote" does not quote
anything here (it isn't answer) but destroys
all of the text already written.

Good point: at that moment, it disappears,
so one has never to experience this problem
    twice per posting.

Maybe, it should not be shown from the
very beginning while composing a thread
    opening posting?

    Regards, ULF

Wow, thank you for that report! I had not realized this.

I'll get on this soon and get it fixed :)

This should be fixed now. The Quote button remains, but it is disabled.
I did this to try to keep the alignment of the Browse button the same.

This change is now in devel on gitlab and is live on my sites.

What about the Quote button reappearing
after having been used in qute-answers
    when re-entering password is required
    after clicking on "Post Article"?

Not sure I noticed that today also on novabbs.org

    Just happened to test there.

    Good result:

The Quote button reappears, but it is disabled.

I just now tried to cause that by not entering my password, and clicking
Post (after clicking Quote). The button reappeard but disabled (can't click it).

I'll test a bit more but so far I don't see there is an issue. That doesn't mean I'm right :)

For anyone interested in the code part of this, the button should only work
if the $_POST request to post.php is REPLY. If it is not, the button is disabled. When you fail auth and need to retry, the $_POST request is
RETRY, not REPLY, so it should be disabled.
