    https://www.novabbs.com/interests/thread.php?group=soc.culture.polish

    hosted by novabbs

    https://groups.google.com/g/soc.culture.polish

hosted by Google Groups in the past

the same group, created as ne Google Group, generating low traffic

    https://groups.google.com/g/socculturepolish1

    Could you redirect traffic from

    https://www.novabbs.com/interests/thread.php?group=soc.culture.polish

    to

    https://groups.google.com/g/socculturepolish1

to make some older guys happy ?

    new Google Grops (non-usenet groups)
    still come with email contact

for writing and reading the posts

I don't operate usenet server to set up such gateway:

    Usenet < > Google Group

    Let me know your opinion

I never used google groups, and have no interest in interoperating with
them. They have not contributed to Usenet in a positive way, then
allowed over 100,000 spam posts per day originating from them into
Usenet, then blamed "spam" for one of the reasons to disconnect from
Usenet, making it appear that the problem came IN from Usenet, not OUT
via Google. I have no interest in Google Groups, and I do not use Google
for anything else for years now.

Google Groups is dead. "is no more", "has ceased to be", "bereft of
life, it rests in peace", and "is an ex-forum" (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Parrot_sketch for further info)

Ok, Usenet Google Groups are dead as closed by Google

but Google Groups are still operational
and can be created, read, posted

    https://groups.google.com/g/socculturepolish1

Since usenet groups can be read, posted via email interface

all I need is to keep

    https://groups.google.com/g/socculturepolish1

    cc:

    with traffic from

    usenet soc.culture.polish group

    https://groups.google.com/g/soc.culture.polish

was live usenet group, hosted via Google Groups

    and spam was not generated

The ability exists for users of that group to use the Usenet group, either
by newsreader, or website. This exists now. If they can't be bothered to do that, it is their issue.

Google has already indicated that they do not want to be linked to Usenet,
so who am I to link them to Usenet. It's like asking Facebook to forward
their posts to Twitter, why would they do that? Maybe someone external has
a script to do that, but Facebook isn't going to do it afaik.

Google Groups is now simply a forum site at Google. They have intentionally disconnected from the rest of the world.

I can't speak in the name of Google,

but if you host thousands of usenet groups

    and fire the last moderator

you kill good name of DejaNews, acquired by Google in the past

Sir, the cryptonymous Knights of NIH* salute your sage saying.

I should urge them to plant a shrubbery in your honor.

That was done long, long time ago.
