    Hello!

Zverev is killing it now: won the first set
7-5 and now a break up in the second.

He will make it to the final and win it too!

Mensik is gassed from all the time he's had on court, Zverev very fresh
and relaxed now he's in control. I can see Cobolli's game giving him a
huge fight, will be a mental battle more than physical. Arnaldi is a
bit lightweight can't see him hitting this level. He was lucky to beat
Tiafoe down 2 sets to 1 and 4-1, pt for 5-1.

Yeah, exactly, and now Sasha is two sets to love up. No way
he is going to lose this one. He looks very strong indeed.

I am pretty sure that Cobolli will beat Arnaldi. Regarding the final,
I do not think he can fight against Zverev's attacking game. It would
be great for us spectatotars if the final were a close one, but I am
afraid that Zverev will win easily in straight sets.

Mensik is still fighting for his life. He is one break up
in the third set. I still believe Sasha will win this match.

Zverev needs to extend the rallies and make it physical. Mensik is
coming to net a lot and hitting drop shots to shorten points. Zverev is
a physical beast and can easily play 5+ hours without dropping level.
He's only lost 1 set all tournament, not broken a sweat. Zverev in 4
    for this one.

Mensik took the third set. After the first two sets, I really could
    not see this coming.

Zverev in 4 for this one.

    Agreed. That's the likeliest scenario.

But *if* Mensik could somehow find a way to extend the match
to five sets, then it would get very interesting.

If he wins this one he could win another couple slams before he's done.
He'd have monkey off his back and could hit freely. He's been honing his
game to try and challenge Sinner/Alcaraz, if they are out/injured/off
form etc he can really take advantage in the next 2 years. Wawrinka was
same age when he won his 1st slam, ended up with 3 from 4 finals.
Zverev isn't really a late bloomer overall as he's had way more success
than Stan pre age 29, but he is in terms of slam wins.

I guess the betting odds are not out yet since Cobolli vs Arnaldi
is still to be played. In any case, whichever italian is through
to the finals, Sasha has to be a huge statistical favourite.

Like I said, I believe Cobolli will soon beat Arnaldi. Cobolli
is a very good, solid player, but he just does not have the
raw firepower that Sasha has. Sasha's serve is better, Sasha's
forehand is better, Sasha's backhand is better. Cobolli is
probably a better mover, but for a big guy, Sasha can move his
    feet very well too.

Plus all the experience Sasha has! He's been to a GS final
three times before. He has several great ATP1000 titles.

This is all new to Cobolli!

It is not entirely impossible that Cobolli could beat Sasha,
but I believe he is a big underdog. Like you said, it is
also mental in big way. If Sasha is nervous as hell and
chokes a lot, that could be Cobolli's chance to strike. But
if Sasha plays like he has done so far, his first GS singles
title will become reality on Sunday.
