Hello!
I am still in awe of Fonseca's performance against
Djoker the GOAT. I wonder what were the betting
odds after Djoker won the first two sets? Must
have been astronomical in favour of Djoker!
At that point I was 95% sure that Djoker will
win this. But Fonseca had other thoughts!
When Fonseca was serving for the match in
the fifth set at 6-5, 30-40, I was almost
sure that Djoker would crack him and break
to make it 6-6. And then Djoker would use
his vast experience to clinch the match
tiebreak.
Well, what happened?
30-40. Fonseca fires an ace.
40-40. Another ace!
Advantage Fonseca: Third ace to finish the match!
He has shown us qualities of a true master!
IIRC, Fonseca served four aces and made three FH UEs in the final game.
Djok didn't do anything. The true master in Fonz beat the choker in him.
It was all on his racquet, he might say.

You may be right about the aces, but I can remember
only the three which sealed the match for him. He
found his best serves when he needed them most and
that is a sign of a champion to me.
About those forehand unforced errors, they were not
feeble pathetic shots, but all were real attempts to
attack. He just missed them while trying to be
aggressive.
