• RG 20206: Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard out

    Hello!

Djoker was rusty at the beginning, but eventually
destroyed Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. I cannot
believe what Eurosport commentators said during
the match. According to them, Perricard could
become a Top 10 player if he develops his game.

No way that is going to happen! He is so
one-sided and depends 90% on his huge serve.

His forehand is big too, but not too accurate
or reliable. Backhand is worse, but the worst
of all is his movement on court! Such a clumsy
and slow player! John Isner was a much more
complete player and I guess he was even taller
    than Perricard.

    KK

I forgot one thing. It was mentioned that his
return game sucks big time: he only breaks
the opponent's serve 8% of the time, putting
him among the worst returners on tour.

This guy will *never* make it to the top 10.

Yes, I will and you can have it filled with
shit too. Of those giants on tour, Isner
    was just so much better...

I agree. Never understood the hype (motivated?). Even American TV fawns
over him unlike most international players.

Of the French players on tour, I suppose the most likely to
make it to the Top 10 is Arthur Fils. He seems to have a
good all-round game with little or no bad weaknesses.

Ugo Humbert is pretty good too, but seems unable to beat the
    best players.

Fils is loaded up with talent. Pretty much has it all.

I've seen him flinch really badly in a match and I generously attribute
this to youth, so we'll have to see.

His backhand is a real weakness, has to improve that to have a chance.

Looked at the highlights against Djok. I didn't bother to watch too many points. Perri is as unfinished as they come. The game is pretty weak if
this guy is top ten material.

    His forehand is big too,

His footwork sucks on that FH too. As it sucks on everything. And he
prepares for the FH differntly depending on how much time he thinks he
has. A good way to telegraph things. "A sitter coming up, Sir!"

The BH ... the return ... there must be better things to talk about.
