Jannik Sinner destroys his opponents without blinking
an eye. He is completely ruthless, showing little or
no emotion, hit or miss. He grinds it out without fear.
After a win, you get only a brief fist pump and an
evil smile from him.

Like Nadal, he believes there is *always* room for
improvement so he constantly works on his game,
making sacrifices each day.

Jannik Sinner is truly a great champion!

I am glad Darren Cahill still continues as his
coach. I thought the last year was supposed to
be Cahill's last, but I suppose Sinner has paid
him so many millions of dollars that Cahill
simply could not say "No". And that was a wise
decision from both of them. Cahill's and Sinner's
co-operation has been a success story.

It is an interesting case with Cahill. As a player
himself, he never achieved great results. But his
work as Sinner's coach has proven that he has
a deeply analytical mind and strictly from a
tennis brain point of view, he knows how to make
Sinner better and better.

This proves that even the lesser players can
have top class tennis intelligence, but they just
do have the physical abilities to execute their
plans and thoughts on court.

I really hope that Sinner will win both in
Rome ATP1000 and later in Roland Garros. He
deserves it for his continued commitment to
get better and better.

Sinner just beat Sebastian Ofter with a routine
performance. I guess Cahill has told Sinner he
can utilize only 65-70% of his full potential
during these early rounds against opponents that
he can always beat no matter what.

It makes sense to save energy and lessen the
risk of injuries by adjusting your energy
level to be lower when you know you can still
win. It was 6-3, 6-4 if I remember right.

By the way, if Ofner had a similar moustache, he
would look very much like Adolf Hitler...Hahah!

Off-court, he is an emphatic, bighearted soul. Complete opposite to the hard-nosed, uncharitable competitoor. He regretted sacking the poor
physio, forgave him, and gave him another crack at it.

That would be something - career slam in slams and 1000's. He could
catch Alcacaraz in slams in 4 months.
