One must say what one likes, but the old Dune really is rather better, isn= =E2=80=99t it?

Kyle MacLachlan possesses that noble, aristocratic air which the new actor,=
decent as he is, simply lacks.

Secondly, and far more importantly, there=E2=80=99s none of that ghastly vu= lgar feminism in the old Dune. I mean do you realise some brown wan actuall=
y slapped Paul Atreides? And she=E2=80=99s meant to be an atheist within he=
r own community totally disrespecting male, and saviour figure.

    How perfectly absurd.

Other castings are okayish? Great Walken, the gay guy from James bond, hot = Rebecca Ferguson, the Swedish guy from Andor...good cast actually.

    Yes.

It was like Lynch watched Fellini's Satyricon just before filming, and
    really, really liked it.

I always though that MacLaughlin looked like a younger version of
    Napoleon Solo.

"To the average American or Englishman the very name of anarchy causes a shudder, because it invariably conjures up a picture of a land
terrorized by low-browed assassins with matted beards, carrying bombs in
one hand and mugs of beer in the other. But as a matter of fact, there
is no reason whatever to believe that, if all laws were abolished
tomorrow, such swine would survive the day."
